SPEECH

Speech events are divided up into two branches: Interpretation categories and Public Address categories. In Interpretation categories, students perform the work of another author. In Public Address categories, students are the authors of the material which they present.

DEBATE

There are four disciplines of debate, which can be divided into individual and partner categories. Lincoln-Douglas and Congress debate are individual while Policy and Public Forum debate are done with a partner.
